This 6000 sq ft Tidewater design began as a 4-room dogtrot built in 1882. It was expanded once the Swift family purchased it in 1898 using wood from their nearby sawmill. In the 1970's with the death of the last family member living in the home, it was purchased by Nik Coles, a restauranteur and antiques collector who filled it with many antiques from his world travels. Upon his death in 2007, we willed the property to the Baldwin County Historic Commission who owns and operates the non-profit to this day.
Private tours available for groups of 10 or more by appointment.
