The Gateway Workforce Initiative is a collaborative effort between the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce and the Coastal Alabama Business Chamber, focused on talent development, training, and recruitment for businesses in south Baldwin County, Alabama. We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team for this five-year initiative, working closely with current staff to enhance workforce training, recruitment, and connectivity in the region. Location: South Baldwin area. SB Chamber (Foley), CABC (Gulf Shores & Orange Beach)
Position reports to - President/CEO of SBCC & CABC
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in developing and implementing workforce development programs.
- Coordinate and facilitate training sessions and workshops for local businesses.
- Support recruitment efforts to meet the talent needs of local businesses.
- Maintain relationships with educational institutions, industry partners, and community organizations.
- Assist in monitoring and evaluating program outcomes and making improvements as needed.
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling, data entry, and reporting.
- Minimum of three years of experience in workforce development, education, non-profit, or related fields.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant certifications and training will be considered.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with colleagues, business leaders, and external partners.
- Knowledge of South Baldwin communities, educational institutions, and systems is a plus.
- Highly motivated, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
Work Environment: This role operates in an office setting with some local travel required. Occasional evening and weekend work may be necessary.
