Sunny 105.7 Radio Launches “Heroes of the Gulf Coast” Campaign to Celebrate Everyday Heroes

Gulf Shores, AL‬ – Sunny 105.7, the Voice of Paradise, is excited to announce the launch of the‬‭ first-ever‬‭ Heroes of the Gulf Coast‬‭ campaign, benefitting the Sea Glass Initiative. This‬ ‭ community-driven effort aims to honor individuals in the Gulf Coast area who have performed‬‭ extraordinary acts of heroism.‬

‭From saving lives to rescuing wildlife, the Gulf Coast is home to remarkable individuals who go above‬ ‭and beyond to make a difference. Sunny 105.7 is calling on the community to help recognize these‬‭ everyday heroes by submitting nominations and sharing their stories.‬

Nomination Details‬

‭Nominations are open for individuals who have performed heroic acts, such as saving a life, rescuing‬‭ someone from drowning, assisting at the scene of a car accident, freeing trapped wildlife, etc.‬ Nominees should live or work in the Gulf Coast area. Share the‬‭ story of the nominee and what makes them a hero.‬ The deadline for nominations is‬‭ February 23, 2025‬‭.‬

‭Celebrating Our Heroes‬

Selected heroes will be honored at a special banquet on‬‭ April 24, 2025‬‭, at The Port at Zeke’s in‬‭ Orange Beach. Awards will be presented to adults and youth in several categories including:‬

• ‬‭Workplace Hero‬
• Public Safety Hero‬
• ‬Good Samaritan‬
• ‬Animal or Marine Life Hero‬
• Military Hero‬

‭This inspiring evening will showcase the incredible stories of courage and kindness that make the Gulf‬‭ Coast community so extraordinary. “We are thrilled to spotlight the selfless actions of people who make‬ the Gulf Coast a better place,” said Mary Williams, partner with Sunny 105.7.‬

‭Supporting the Sea Glass Initiative‬

A portion of the proceeds from the‬‭ Heroes of the Gulf Coast‬‭ campaign and banquet will benefit the‬‭ Sea‬ Glass Initiative‬‭, a local organization working to end housing insecurity in Baldwin County.‬
